Every device that is on the Internet has a unique IP address just like every
home has a unique postal service address. The IP address tells servers on the
Internet where to send the web pages you request and where to send e-mails
addressed to you. IP addresses may be assigned to a device as a dynamic or
static IP address.
Dynamic IP Address
One dynamic IP address is provided to each Internet customer. This address is
assigned from a pool of available IP addresses. The address may change every
time the modem stops and re-starts its connection to the i20Online.Com network,
hence the term "dynamic".
Static IP Addresses
A static IP address is permanently assigned to a specific user and his/her
network device. Whenever a user logs on to the I20Online.Com network, he/she
uses the same IP address. Static IP addresses enable telecommuters to gain
access to their employers' systems and bypassing their employers' network
